"When the Man get good, his family gets better, the community benefits!"

Our mission is to empower and enable Kanaka maoli, particularly native Hawaiian men who seek recovery restoration, and reconciliation with themselves, their ohana, and the community through our process of Ho'okanaka "a culturally-rooted and communally relevant process of personal change catalyzed by servant leadership."
The beginning before the beginning.
Intergenerational commitment to servant leadership was passed down to our founder Iopa Maunakea from his grandmother, Kupuna Katherine Kamalukukui Maunakea. See the video below.
Our core intervention integrates restorative justice with our ho'okanaka process of cultural principles to create a hybrid intervention that works for us Kanaka Maoli.
Our Core Cultural Principles
Kuleana (Responsibility)
Kūpono (Accountability)
A'o Ikaika (Discipline)
Kupa'a (Commitment)
Lokahi (Unity)
Our community service roots are traced back to Iopa Maunakea's grandmother Katherine Kamalukukui Kamakawahine Duenas Maunakea.
